I paint using bitumen, usually dribbling it from a paintbrush, occasionally spreading it with a brush. I sometimes use alkyd resin mixed with pigment and everyday enamel. Influences include images from my sketch book or Chinese jade sculptures which morph into something else as I paint. These are all done very quickly. There is no changing my mind as once the bitumen is on the paper, that's it.
