Anna Kiff is a London based artist who works primarily in wax, copper mesh and scrim. She studied Fine Art at Central St Martins and graduated in 2006.

Despite growing up in an artistic environment Anna did not decide to pursue an artistic career until later in life, having first gained a degree in Literature and Philosophy at Manchester University. She then went on to study acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and for the last 23 years has worked as an acupuncturist in private practice and as a research acupuncturist for the NHS.  The relationship between the mind and body, physical and non-physical is central to everything she does.

As part of her working process, Anna sketches profusely, although many of her sculptures gain form organically as she works on them, often allowing the process and materials to inform the final piece.

She is fascinated by form and transformation and specially attracted by the transient characteristics of materials like wax or tar, therefore her pieces can feel alive and in a state of flux.

Disconcerting undercurrents, humour, distorted sexuality, the presence of darkness are all themes that sit comfortably with her.

Anna runs her late father's estate, Ken Kiff (RA) the website of which is currently being updated.
